This is a little illustration I made for a Shopify Design Challenge. Yesterday’s challenge was to create an ampersand. I created this using Illustrator in about an hour, so there are some sloppy parts (the spit drops and the bones in particular).

I can’t stress how helpful @Vonster‘s book, Vector Basic Training has been when working in Illustrator. I whipped this illustration up much quicker than I would have and the curves a much, much smoother and consistent. If you use the Pen tool a lot, I highly recommend reading Vector Basic Training.
