About Me

Hello! My name is Tetsuro Takara (aka “tetchi”), welcome to my blog!

Through school, work, and personal interests, I’ve gained experience in web design & development, graphics design, programming, and 3D modeling. If I were asked “which area do you like the most?”, I would have to say web design & development. However, I have a very short attention span and have the tendency to get addicted to anything that interests me. Who knows, next week I might be training to become the world’s best sushi chef!

In January 2009, I started my co-op work term at jadedPixel Technologies, creators of Shopify. During my time there, I got a chance to play around with their Shopify platform and get very familiar with the Liquid templating language. As I helped many people get their online stores up-and-running, I felt that I could do more to show people how easy it is to set up a store with Shopify.

In my spare time, I like to play lots of video games and hang out with friends. I also play the bass for a powerpop band called Move Your Mountain. I love drawing and I aspire to become an awesome vector artist someday.
